Christians are required to do justice (Micah 6:8) and help the needy (Mt 25: 31-46). One way that we, as individuals and churches, can respond to this is by supporting Fairtrade. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, sustainable development and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Is your church supporting Fairtrade? What do you have to do? If you wish to know more about this and the procedure for registering your church, visit the website of the Fairtrade Foundation at www.fairtrade.org.uk If
your church is already 'on board' but isn't included below, let us know
so it can be added to the list, contact our Churches Coordinator (churches@fairtradeforbassetlaw.org.uk) or our Secretary (secretary@fairtradeforbassetlaw.org.uk - 01909 485723). Bassetlaw churches committed to supporting Fairtrade include: |
